M:Part Tiagra / Mavic Open Sport road wheelset review

This wheelset is less than the sum of its parts. Tiagra hubs have the same angular contact bearings and quality seals as higher end Shimano hubs, and are quite easy to service. Plain gauge DT spokes are sound, and Mavic Open Sport rims are fine apart from the deep cleft of their wear indicator, which can damage the brakes.

Both our wheels arrived a little out of true laterally, the rear with some spokes visibly bent. Spoke tension was inconsistent and the rear unwound further during testing. They didn't go badly out of true, but even budget wheels should be built better than this.
