Scott Road Comp shoes review

The Scotts are lightweight at 587g a pair and truly slippery, in the carpet sense. The thin but light nylon-and-fibreglass sole provides good pedalling efficiency; it has one large air intake under the toes but remains surprisingly stiff.

A roomy toe box and soft upper combine with a comfortable heel and good insole to make these shoes feel barely there. The thin tongue, padded in the right places, and three well-positioned straps keep things secure, and the fit, although quite long, is excellent and well ventilated. For lovers of light, lively shoes, for the money these are hard to beat.
