Bontrager's full-carbon cockpit is light and well-priced, but tall in height and low in adjustability. The carbon fibre base bar uses slim, forward-swept teardrop wings with slightly kinked hand horn sections, complete with internal brake cable routing. It’s acceptably stiff when sprinting out of the saddle, although musclemen will feel some twist.
The extension clamps and arm pontoons are single combined pieces to save weight. The armrests are relatively high though, and there’s no sideways adjustment of the inward bent ‘ski’ tip extensions. There’s no internal gear routing either – just grooves along the front that help create a teardrop profile to the grip section once wrapped. There's some sideways adjustment from the four-position pontoons, with another four angle adjustable positions on the armrests.
