Giant Contact SLR bar and stem review

The almost traditional curve drops offer plenty of hand positions, while the tops are flat with a tapered, ovalised, semi-wing shape. The bar is comfortable, taking out plenty of road buzz yet stiff enough for sprinting. The stem is well made with smooth edges to the bar clamp, and in torsional load testing was one of the stiffest we've tested.

As a combination, these are stiff and light yet comfortable. Oddly, the torque for the bar clamp is shown as 6Nm on the stem and 5.5Nm on the bar, though we didn't need to go that tight.
