Orbea's helmet range will certainly get you noticed, but it’s more mid-price than top-dollar in weight and adjustability. The top-of-the-range Odin uses a four-layer (polycarbonate, carbon fiber, EPS and nylon) construction that lets them build 25 mid-sized vents into the outer shell.
As well as this full coverage venting, the internal molding includes pontoons and channels, which means the amount of air flowing between the protective part and your nut is impressive. However, Big CoolMax pads mean lots of skin contact, so it still feels hot.
The padded rear cradle is deep and bulky, and the rounded shell shape and padding make the helmet large and, at 320g, heavy. The open back means a fairly comfortable tuck fit, but it can nudge up in extreme positions and you can’t change the cradle height either.
